Mother & Child--Surface Work is Finished!

All the surface work is finished!  I'll be taking a break from it today so I can get the 2nd preschool quilt sewn.  It's getting close.

  1. I absolutely love the lace border against the plaid. I'm not a fancy kind of gal, but this top makes me swoon. It is so different, they may have to make up a new category to place it in. When I have seen complex quilts exhibited, I have always wondered how long they took to produce and the process behind their creation. You have chronicled it for all of us to experience along with you. Everyday as you worked, you have had eyes peering over you shoulder anticipating what would come next. It's amazing how many people followed along and learned with you.

  3. I love the structure you've built into this one...but what I really want is to see it from 2 feet away! For about 3 hours!
